Hi, I’m Nicole Faulkner, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
With a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, I bring extensive experience in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief and loss, workplace stress, PTSD, and complex trauma.
I specialise in providing trauma-informed psychological care, ensuring each person receives a tailored approach that respects their unique journey. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions and find pathways to healing and growth.
Over the years, I have worked across diverse sectors, including Domestic and Family Violence, Sexual Assault, Defense, Disability, and Queensland Health. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities individuals face and strengthened my ability to offer compassionate and effective care.
Whether you're seeking support for a specific issue or simply need a neutral ground to process your experiences, I’m here to help you move forward with confidence and resilience.
Although I am not a crisis service, my goal is to help you recover from your struggles, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSWs) are registered mental health providers with Medicare Australia. They are qualified clinicians who support people experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, while also considering the broader factors that can impact wellbeing such as relationships, family dynamics, life circumstances, and community.
AMHSWs are recognised by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) as having advanced training and experience in mental health practice. This means they are skilled in supporting people who may be dealing with complex personal, family, or social issues alongside their mental health concerns.
Like psychologists and other allied health professionals, Accredited Mental Health Social Workers use a range of evidence-based therapies to support people through difficult experiences and help them move toward improved wellbeing. An important part of this work is valuing the lived experiences of the people seeking support, as well as recognising the role that family and loved ones can play in the recovery process.
To maintain their accreditation, AMHSWs complete ongoing professional development each year through the AASW to ensure their knowledge and skills remain current.
